A Message from Debralyn Press, Artistic Director

As a child, I found my sanctuary in the performing arts. This undying devotion grew to become the basis of my profession. Although I enjoyed a solid career in the arts, I felt that I was destined to make a more profound impact on the world. I built a second career as a dance therapist/social worker, which led me to my true calling: establishing a school where children and adults can study, collaborate, and explore the beauty and splendor of the arts. It is with pleasure and admiration that I teach and observe the performing arts transforming to life each day. I have been teaching dance and theater in this community for the past sixteen years, and feel privileged to work with all the artists and students who find their way to our door.

Sleepy Hollow Performing Artists is a company and studio whose mission is to inspire a life-long love of dancing, singing and acting. Our instructors are highly experienced professionals whose goal is to innovate, motivate, and care for our students. They were hired for their talent and belief that every student can enjoy the spirit and soul of dance and the performing arts. A whole-child approach permeates our studio, creating a family atmosphere full of joy and creativity.

Sleepy Hollow Performing Artists is a place for children and adults to grow and learn in a healthy and joyful way. Along the way, our participants will feel they are part of something unique and special. It is my great privilege to have shared this profound experience with so many talents over so many years and I look forward to continuing to do so in the future.
