Debralyn Press

Debralyn Press: Artistic Director. BFA in Dance, NYU Tisch School of the Arts; Master’s  Degree in Social Work (group, early childhood through adolescent development), a Master’s Degree in Science, Dance/Movement Therapy from Hunter College. Debralyn has performed, choreographed, directed in numerous productions seen on TV, Film, Stage and Video. Choreographer: Nickelodeon, Rock & Hip Hop Videos, Jazz, Ballet, and Modern dance throughout this country and Europe. Performed with Boston Ballet II. Principal: Ballet of Contemporary Arts at Harkness House; American Dance Machine; etc. Former: NYC Board of Education Dance Director (Spark), professor of dance at Westchester Community College, Dance Director Helen Hayes Theatre Academy; faculty member of Tappan Zee Dance Group, Steffi Nossen Senior Company teacher, Director of The Dance Company in Ridgefield, CT. Master teacher at Dancespace, NYC. Debralyn is widely recognized as one of the best dance/theater educators in Westchester County and is  the recipient of numerous awards.



 

 

 

 

 

 

Shar Adrias

Shar began dancing in her living room when she was a little girl. At age 11 she began training in Manhattan and appeared in numerous showcases at Broadway Dance Center. She has appeared on TV, video and stage. She has danced and choreographed for Lia Cha, Eddie Jackson, Unique, and Albert Guerzon. Shar has also danced for Ludacris, Sharpp, The Roc Project ft. Tina Novack, and Ryan Leslie (producer of New Edition's "Hot Night". Shar is considered one of the hottest dancers and hip hop teachers in New York. She also has her own production company called Movements by Shar and films party events, dance videos, and performances.

 

 

      

Roseann Baker

Roseann Baker was born and raised in sunny Long Beach, California. She chose to study dance because of her love to move and after graduating from the Idyllwild Arts Academy, she then went on to receive her BFA in dance from the State University of New York at Purchase College in December of 2010. During her time at Purchase, she had the incredible opportunity to learn and perform in works such as D-man in the Water by Bill T. Jones and Kinneasonata by Bella Lewitsky to name a few. Upon graduating, she now resides in Brooklyn and continues her passion for the arts and arts education, working part-time as Lincoln Center Institute's 'Education Assistant'. She is currently a member of Nelly van Bommel's company//NØA Dance and with Kathryn Rhodes//Roadwork. She is frequently seen jammin'/dancing around the NYC area with Cyrille Aimée & The Surreal Band performing in venues such as Birdland and Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola, Jazz at Lincoln Center as well as a founding member and performer of a multi-disciplinary Brooklyn-based collaborative project called the Hoover Dam Collective. 

 

 

 

 

  

 

Judi DeRosa 

Judi DeRosa is the Musical Director of Sleepy Hollow Performing Arts Center and has been teaching music in the Westchester area for the past four years.  She began her studies on the piano with Dr. Judith Alstadter, who studied at the Julliard and Yale Music School.  Later, she began to show interest in singing and took voice lessons with her first formal voice teacher, John Shackelford, also a graduate of the Julliard School.  After high school, she attended The Boston Conservatory where she studied voice with Elisabeth Phinney, formally of Boston Lyric Opera.  Judi graduated 2004, cum laude with a B.A. in vocal performance.  She has performed original choral pieces, composed by Andy Vores, with the New England Philharmonic on several occasions.

 

 

Hana Ginsburg

Hana Ginsburg has a BA in Education Policy from Princeton University, and an MFA in Dance Performance and Teaching from the SUNY Purchase College Conservatory of Dance. She is currently working as a professional dancer, teacher and arts administrator in New York City. She is a member of 360° Dance Company, Riedel Dance Theater, Lane & Co., and Ariel Rivka Dance, and has also had the pleasure of dancing with Mark Dendy Dancetheater, Kazuko Hirabayashi Dance Theater, York DanceWorks and Catherine Miller’s Walking/Talking, among others. 
Hana has danced professionally in Spain, Norway, Japan and Mexico, and attended The Yard on Martha’s Vineyard for three consecutive summers, where she served as Dance Assistant to founder Patricia N. Nanon for the final two years of her life. From 2007-2009, she served as Administrative Director for Dance New York International, coordinating and teaching at summer programs for college students in Spain and France. She has been General Manager for 360° Dance Company since 2007, founding and directing their annual New York Connections Professional Repertory Summer Workshop, and was Managing Director for Dances Patrelle 2008-2011. 
Hana was on faculty at Rye Country Day School 2005-2007, teaching ballet, modern, jazz and hip-hop, and is currently on faculty at The Y of Washington Heights and DramaZone. She is thrilled to join the SHPAC family this year!

 

 

 

 

Albert Guerzon

Albert Guerzon has been proudly teaching for SHPAC since 2001. He played "Eddie" in the Broadway Company of Mamma Mia, danced in the World Premier of The Times They Are A Changin’ choreographed and directed by Twyla Tharp (Old Globe), and performed in The Wiz (LaJolla) with David Alan Grier and dir. Des McAnuff. Some other NYC, regional and workshop credits include Flower Drum Song (AMTSJ,) Miss Saigon (PA), Long Season, Mister with Anthony Rapp, and the upcoming Frank Wildhorn project Tears from Heaven. Albert recently performed in Paris and in the NY workshop of Virtuosity with Vivian Reed. He has also choreographed and danced for KTU’s Beatstock (103.5FM) and for Dance/House Artists Tina Novak and the Roc Project, Danielle Bollinger and UK artist Holly James. Albert is excited to start his new project: as a member of the original Broadway cast of Ghost!

  

 

Connie Hochman

Connie Hochman danced professionally with the Pennsylvania Ballet where she performed works by Balanchine, Tudor, Van Manen, Butler and others. She received her ballet training at the School of American Ballet from age. For her final SAB workshop Connie danced with Fernando Bujones in the Pas de Trois from Swan Lake, staged by Alexandra Danilova. As a child, she performed with New York City Ballet in Balanchine’s The Nutcracker, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Harlequinade. Connie has been teaching ballet in Westchester for over 20 years, from pre-ballet to advanced levels, children through adults. Her classes stress alignment, clean technique, phrasing and expression. Connie finds that every level presents its own rewards—for both student and teacher. She lives in Ossining with her husband and they have two daughters.

 

 

 

   

Sarah Hochman

Sarah Hochman began her training at The Ballet Class in Rye, NY, with Lynn Stetson. At 10, she entered the School of American Ballet and at the advanced level danced in the annual Workshop performance, which included Balanchine’s The Four Temperaments and Gounod Symphony.                                                 Ms. Hochman continued her training at the Miami City Ballet School, performing with the company in Balanchine’s Bouree Fantasque and Petipa’s The Sleeping Beauty. In the MCB School’s Workshop performance, she performed Balanchine’s Raymonda Variations, Allegro Brilliante, and Valse Fantasie.                        Before joining BalletFleming, Ms. Hochman was a member of Pennsylvania Ballet II for two years. Her repertoire with the Pennsylvania Ballet included: Balanchine’s Agon, The Four Temperaments, Theme and Variations, Who Cares? and The Nutcracker, as well as Christopher Wheeldon’s Swan Lake, Matthew Neenan’s Carmina Burana, John Cranko’s Romeo and Juliet, and Ashton’s La Fille Mal Gardee.

 

 


 

 

Majella Loughran

Majella Loughran has been training at Sleepy Hollow Performing Arts since she was ten years old. She joined our company at age thirteen and has been dancing with us ever since. Majella is currently attending SUNY Purchase as a dance major. She has also trained at Bates College and is the recipient of numerous dance and art scholarships. Majella’s art has been presented at the Katonah Museum of Art; her work as dancer and choreographer has been presented at the Westchester Arts Council Arts Exchange; at Irvington Town Hall Theater; at community events throughout the county; and at Bates College. Majella Loughran is a creative force in the Halloween Haunted House and the Pirates Festial at Phillipse Burg Manor and she is recognized as a bright young talent in the Westchester Community and is a favorite teacher of our students.

 

 

 

 

Nicole Restani 

Nicole Restani was first introduced to dance at Coral Springs Academy in South Florida. She began her pre-professional training at Dillard Center for the Arts, and later continued her studies in New York at the SUNY Purchase College Conservatory of Dance where she completed her BFA and Minor in Economics, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2010. (She has performed works by Carolyn Dorfman, Joszef Hajzer, Kazuko Hirabayashi, Jose Limon, Robert Moses, Pam Tanowitz, Paul Taylor, and Twyla Tharp as well as Petipa’s Sleeping Beauty and Fokine’s The Dying Swan.) She has had the pleasure of dancing with Dance Now! in Miami, Jubilee Dance Theater throughout Spain, and Olga Dunn Dance Co, as well as studying abroad in Taiwan and Spain. She is a member of IsadoraNOW, Naganuma 2, and Michael Mao Dance. Nicole is also a proud founder of The Hoover Dam Collective and teaches Pilates mat classes at Mark Morris Dance Group and around NYC.

 


 

 

Erich Reyes

Born and raised in New York City, Erich has been dancing to Michael Jackson videos since he was 5 years old.  Erich has studied seriosl, taking classes at Broadway Dance Center; PMT dance studio; Pearl dance studio; and creative image where he learned from pioneers of hip hop and house dancers such as Ejoe Wilson, Marjory Smarth, Ken Swift, Shabba Doo and many others. He then joined Rhythmology Dance Company based in Bergenfield New Jersey and started choreographing for the team. He is also one of the founding members of the freestyle dance crew Part Time Models. They have won various dance competitions around the east coast and have made a name for themselves in the Hip-hop community.

 

 
 
 
 

John Scacchetti 

John Scacchetti has performed on Broadway in in the 2001 Tony Award winning revival of 42nd Street with choreography by Randy Skinner, and the recent critically acclaimed 2008 revival of Gypsy starring Patti LuPone with direction by Arthur Laurents. John has also toured the nation twice - once with 42nd Street, and again with My Fair Lady directed by Trevor Nunn and choreographed by Matthew Bourne. John has performed in regional productions of How To Succeed…, West Side Story, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, and Anything Goes. John was also a soloist in The Illinois Ballet company before moving to NYC. John holds a BS in theatre performance from Bradley University, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude.

 

 

 

Jarette Seligman 

Jarette Seligman has been dancing with Sleepy Hollow Performing Arts for 10 years. Additional training includes study in NYC at Broadway Dance Center and at Steps. Jarette has performed in many events with SHPA including the annual winter and spring shows as well as streetfairs in Ossining, Irivington and Sleepy Hollow. She has worked as a professional model and dancer nationally. Jarette has taught and danced in Dancing with the Teachers in the Irivington school district and participated in the school plays. She has also performed at the Westchester Arts Council in the styles of ballet, hiphop, jazz, and theatre and at SUNY Purchase. Jarette is a young and vibrant teacher and choreographer, and her classes are in high demand. 

 

 

 

Meredith Siegel 

A favorite teacher at SHPAB, Meredith holds a BA form Brandies University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She worked as an actress which led her to graduate work at Brandies University in Theater. Meredith also attended Hunter College for a Master's degree in education. She brings her many skills as an educator, visual artist, and performing artist in her joyful classes.
Meredith has taught 2nd grade at Packer Collegiate Institute in Brooklyn, N.Y. 
and has run summer theater programs at Camp Louemma in Sussex, N.J. and Squire Advantage in Dobbs Ferry. 

 

 
 

Rachel Talley

Rachel Talley began her dance training in her home state of California. Rachel trained at The Dance Studio of Fresno, Ballet San Jose Silicon Valley, and Los Gatos Ballet. Rachel received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from SUNY Purchase in 2008. Following graduation Rachel danced professionally with Kazuko Hirabayashi Dance Theater. She is currently dancing in New York City and performs throughout this country and abroad. In addition to dancing and teacher Rachel is studying medicine at Columbia University, which she hopes to use her skills in the field of medicine.
